5 foods that will make your skin glow

Save yourself some money. Instead of buying over-priced lotions, keep your skin looking healthy, youthful and radiant by simply eating these foods.

Grab yourself an Avocado! It is rich in monounsaturated fatty acids, which have been proven to hydrate and shield the skin by lowering the risk of premature aging caused by ultraviolet radiation. We love healthy fats!

Spinach contains high levels of folate – an essential B vitamin which helps maintain and repair DNA. These veggies may reduce the likelihood of cancer-cell growth and keeping your skin healthy flawless.

Bursting with antioxidants, Blueberries are a favourite super food for most. They also help boost the strength of collagen fibers thanks to their high concentration of anthocyanins: phytonutrients. Not to mention, this fruit is also a great source of prebiotics—fiber-rich foods that your gut bugs ferment into anti-inflammatory fatty acids—which can help heal your immune system and reduce inflammation-induced skin conditions.

Almonds are packed with vitamin E which helps repair scarred cells and defends against sun damage. It also works to keep your body free of dangerous free radicals. Almonds are also one of the best sources of dairy-free calcium!

Kiwi fruit

High in vitamin C, Kiwi fruits helps repair the elastic tissue in skin that declines with age. Smoking, stress and sun exposure can drain vitamin C from the skin, leaving it vulnerable to damage. The more kiwis you eat, the more radiant your skin will be!

It is a nice post! It is nice to know that what we eat can give our skin an extra glow. Actually I have written a blog that share the same topic with yours. It focuses on the natural ingredients that are good for sensitive skin types though. A little bit different but we both value natural things over commercially-produces beauty products right!! Also if you are interested, my blog is all about skin conditions and skin diseases. We support people who live with various skin conditions and help them to regain self-confidence and teach them to love their skin. Feel free to check out my blog 🙂
